4 staff of a cafe have been killed just after a rushing Skoda automobile allegedly rammed into their motorcycles on Golf Study course Highway in Gurgaon late Wednesday night. Police have arrested the motor vehicle driver, who, they reported, was closely inebriated at the time.
Police reported the victims have been determined as Jitendra Mandal (35) his nephew, Rajnish Kumar Mandal (21) Gopal Singh (27) and Govind Pratap Kurmi (28). All four worked at Chacha’s Get Away cafe in Qutub Plaza in DLF Stage 1.
Law enforcement reported Jitendra was a head prepare dinner, Rajnish a helper and cleaner, Gopal Singh was a waiter and Govind was a shipping and delivery boy. Jitendra and Rajnish have been natives of Bihar’s Sitamarhi district. Govind hailed from Damoh district in Madhya Pradesh and Gopal was from Nalni village in Nainital, Uttarakhand.
Law enforcement explained the accused, Harsh Singh (26), works as a profits supervisor at a personal organization in 32nd Milestone. He was returning to his residence in Sector 43 right after a party.
According to law enforcement, the incident took place at 12.43 am when the four victims were returning to their households in Chakkarpur village just after function.
In the FIR, the cafe proprietor, Manoj Singh, said that at 12.30, they experienced all left from the cafe. “Jitendra and Govind ended up driving two motorcycles and the other two workforce have been seated pillion. I was driving them in my car or truck,” explained Singh.
He stated as they crossed Arjun Marg in the vicinity of gate selection 11 in DLF and obtained on to the Golfing Class Street, a Skoda Rapid automobile coming from the Sikanderpur side rammed into equally motorcycles. “All 4 have been thrown off the bikes and fell at a length of over 30 ft. Police claimed the influence of collision was these types of that the motorcycles had been fully crushed. The Skoda was mangled, its windshield was broken and each airbags had been deployed.

Virender Vij, DCP, East, said, “Last night at about 12.40 am, an accident happened on Golf System Street wherever a Skoda banged into two motorcycles. All four people on the motorcycles have been killed. The motor vehicle was pushed by the accused, Harsh Singh, in a really drunken condition. He was arrested and despatched to jail. More investigation is heading on about evidence.”
A police officer, requesting anonymity, reported, “The accused did not endure injuries in the incident. He was taken for a healthcare evaluation, which confirmed that he was inebriated. He admitted that he was returning from a get together and misplaced management of the car as he was under the affect of alcohol. He was taken into custody following a police crew straight away arrived at the spot.”
On the grievance of the cafe owner, law enforcement have booked the accused driver underneath IPC sections 304 (culpable murder not amounting to murder), 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and Area 185 of the Motor Autos Act at DLF Section 1 law enforcement station on Thursday.
